Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SoHa ("the Service", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the SoHa app. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: your email address at registration, the display name and username (handle) you set, your bio, and your profile photo; if you apply for and are approved as a venue account, we also collect your business name, venue avatar, and contact details.

Camera / photo library access: if you choose to upload a profile or venue photo, the app requests access to your camera or photo library — used only at the moment you choose to upload a picture. We do not access or scan other photos on your device in the background.

Session records you enter: date, location, buy-in, cash-out, resulting profit/loss, and duration. These are entered entirely by you and are used solely to generate your personal statistics and, if you join a team, team-level settlement calculations.

Community activity: posts, comments, likes, follows, reports, and blocks you make within the community feature.

Device and technical data: a push-notification token (used for session reminders and other notifications), and in-app preferences such as your chosen display language, appearance (dark/light), P&L color scheme, and currency.

Anonymous usage statistics: we use our own (not third-party) in-house analytics to log certain in-app actions (e.g. creating a post, saving a session), to understand feature usage, fix bugs, and improve the product. These records are never linked to your account, email, or other identity — they are associated only with a random identifier generated locally on your device, which has no connection to your account, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites. You can turn this on or off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data.

Location (Tag Location feature): when you tap "Use current location" on the Tag Location screen, the app requests access to your device's location, retrieves your current coordinates, and converts them into a place name (e.g. "Neihu · Taipei") using Apple's built-in reverse-geocoding service. This is triggered only at the moment you tap that button — we do not track your location in the background or log a location history, and our servers store only the place name you end up selecting or typing, never your coordinates. You can disable location access for this app at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, without affecting any other feature.

Google Places API (location search): the search bar on the Tag Location screen uses the Google Places API to suggest matching places as you type. The text you type is sent to Google to retrieve suggestions; this does not include your account, email, or other identifying information. This feature is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

We currently do not collect your phone number, physical address, or contacts.

Google AdMob (in-app advertising): this app uses Google AdMob to display third-party ads in certain contexts, which helps keep the app free to use — including a rewarded ad when your free "add session" credits run out, interstitial ads when starting the timer or settling a team, and banner ads at the bottom of the community feed, profile page, comment page, and the venue home screen. AdMob may collect device-related information (such as the advertising identifier / IDFA, device model, OS version, coarse location, and IP address) to serve and measure ads. If you allow tracking in the system's App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may serve ads personalized to your interests; if you decline, AdMob will still serve ads, but non-personalized ones — either way, no other feature of the app is affected. You can review or change each app's tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. SoHa Plus subscribers can remove the vast majority of in-app ad placements (see in-app purchase details). Advertising-related data collection and use is also governed by Google's own policies, available at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Kickstart Exchange (in-app advertising): the Settings screen includes a developer cross-promotion ad slot provided by Kickstart Exchange, which recommends other independent developers' apps to you (and recommends SoHa to users of other participating apps in return). This feature does not collect your account, email, or other identifying information, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. See Kickstart Exchange's own privacy notice at https://kickstart.tools/privacy. If we add other advertising or marketing-tracking SDKs in the future, we will update this policy and notify you in the app before that feature launches.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your session records are used only to generate your personal statistics within the app, and — if you belong to a team — team-level contribution and settlement calculations. They are never shown to other users unless you choose to share them to the community feed.

Your email is used only for account login, password resets, and essential service notifications (e.g. security notices); we do not use it for marketing or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your push token is used only to deliver notifications you have opted into (e.g. session start reminders, comment and like notifications). You can disable push notifications at any time in the app or in your device's system settings.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is stored on the cloud infrastructure of our backend provider, Supabase (which provides database, authentication, and file storage services); push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs); transactional emails (such as password reset emails) are sent through Resend; and location search suggestions are provided via the Google Places API (see "Information We Collect" above). These providers act only as data processors on our instructions and are bound by their own data-protection obligations — they do not use your data for their own purposes.

As described above, the in-app ad placements are provided and served by two third-party advertising platforms, Google AdMob and Kickstart Exchange, and ads on this website are served by Google AdSense (see Section 10); each collects device-related advertising data under its own policy (see the previous section and each platform's own privacy policy). Beyond that, we do not share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We may disclose necessary information where required by law (for example, in response to a court order), or to protect user safety or prevent fraud and abuse.

4. Data Retention and Your Rights

You can export the session records you entered as a CSV file, or clear all of your session records with one tap, at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data in the app. Clearing records is irreversible.

If you would like to delete your account and all associated data entirely, please contact us at support@sohatracker.com and we will process your request within a reasonable time and confirm once it is complete.

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA): if you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to request deletion of that information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not "sell" your personal information; the in-app advertising services (Google AdMob, Kickstart Exchange) may, in collecting device-related advertising data, constitute "sharing" as defined under the CPRA — if you are a California resident and would like to opt out, please contact us at support@sohatracker.com. To exercise any of the other rights above, contact us at the same address; we will respond within a reasonable time after verifying your identity.

EEA / UK Users (GDPR): where applicable, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to data portability. Our legal basis for processing is primarily performance of a contract (providing the app's services) and your consent (for example, for anonymous usage statistics and personalized advertising). To exercise these rights, contact us at support@sohatracker.com.

Do Not Track (CalOPPA): there is currently no industry-wide standard for how to respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, and this app does not respond to them. Anonymous usage statistics and personalized advertising within the app are controlled independently — the former by the toggle in Settings → Privacy & Data, the latter by the system's App Tracking Transparency prompt — neither is related to any browser setting.

5. Self-Reported Records, Not Real-Money Gambling

SoHa is a personal tool for recording poker results that you report yourself. It does not facilitate real-money wagering, gambling, matchmaking of games, or the handling of funds — no real-money transaction ever takes place within the app. The buy-in/cash-out figures you enter are purely historical records you keep for yourself, used only for personal statistics and team profit-share estimates.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service involves recording poker session results, and users must meet the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction to register; the Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a user below the minimum age has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Ads displayed within the app (Google AdMob, Kickstart Exchange) are likewise not directed at children, and the Service is not represented as content suitable for children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at support@sohatracker.com.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including row-level security controls that restrict each user to data they are authorized to access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the app. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions about this policy or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact us at support@sohatracker.com.
